LP Lady Warriors to US Finals in Providence, RI

Junior & Senior Teams qualify with 1st place wins!

Lower Providence Lady Warriors Competition Cheer Teams have both advanced to compete at the US Finals Championships to be held in Providence, RI May 4-6. Coached by Janice Sbei, Tracey McNeill, Alicia Sbei and Kim Ohler, the Lady Warriors have been working since October perfecting their routines and working on their skills. This hard work came to fruition last month in Harrisburg for the Junior Team at Spirit Unlimited qualifiers, and just last weekend for the Senior Team at Platinum qualifiers, where both teams put up their best scores of the season. US Finals participation is by invitation only - you must earn your way to this event. This is a HUGE deal for this rec team and this has never happened in the 50 year history of LPMFA. The girls started attending National event qualifiers only 3 years ago with just the senior team, earning a 4th place finish at US Finals in 2016. Last year the Junior team competed for the first time at Nationals and although both teams were invited to attend Finals, their season was cut short due to unforeseen circumstances beyond their control. Needless to say, this year, expectations are high for the Lady Warriors. Recent changes to the team dynamic, as well as critical injuries, have impacted both routines slightly, however, the girls and coaches remain confident that this will only strengthen their resolve to come home with a US Finals trophy. The underlying mantra of these teams is Adjust, Adapt& Achieve and we wish them all the best as they cheer, dance, tumble, and fly their way into the Lower Providence record books. In the eyes of LPMFA, their parents and coaches - they are all winners already!
