Methacton Cancels After-School Activities Monday Due To Storm Forecast

The Methacton School District said any activities planned for after 2:30 p.m. Monday would be cancelled due to a severe storm forecast.

WORCESTER, PA β€” The Methacton School District has announced that all activities taking place after 2:30 p.m. Monday would be cancelled due to a severe storm forecast.

School District officials said that due to the predicted inclement weather Monday afternoon, all after-school activities, athletics and evening activities, including those involving outside organizations that use school facilities, would be cancelled.

Meteorologists have forecasted some severe weather across the Greater Philadelphia region Monday afternoon, which includes possible heavy rain, thunder, strong winds and even the possibility for tornadoes.

Some other school districts across the region have also announced either early dismissals, the cancellation of after-school activities and sports, or a combination of both.
