New Methacton School Board Member Appointed
Kate Graf was appointed to the Methacton School Board. She replaced Greg Young, who stepped down due to professional and other commitments.

WORCESTER, PA β The Methacton School Board has appointed a new school director to fill a vacant seat that was created by a recent board resignation.
Kate Graf, an environmental consultant from Lower Providence Township who has resided within the district for more than 15 years, was named the board's newest member during the panel's Nov. 2 meeting.
Graf won approval in a 7-1 vote, according to the school district.

Graf replaces former board member Greg Young, who resigned from his post due to professional and personal commitments.

According to Methacton, Graf has a daughter who currently attends Methacton High School.
Graf, who attended Lehigh University to study chemical engineering, has her professional license in environmental engineering.
In her current work role, Graf assists clients with "understanding and complying with complex environmental regulations," according to a school district bio.
"Ms. Graf believes that collaboration and open dialogue produces stronger ideas and outcomes," the school district said in a statement. "She is committed to enhancing STEM education and ensuring a bright future for all Methacton students."
STEM is short for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math.
Graf will fill out the remainder of Young's position on the board, which is slated to end in 2025.
Methacton School District serves students who live in both Worcester and Lower Providence Townships.
