Police Make Arrest in Public Masturbation Investigation

Lower Providence and Upper Providence police departments have announced the arrest of 29-year-old Piyush Kumar Agarwal, of Audubon, in connection with a string of indecent exposure incidents dating back to April 6.

An Upper Providence detective reportedly encountered Agarwal at 3:40 p.m. on Saturday at the trailhead of the Perkiomen Trail, near the intersection of Lower Indian Head Road and Upper Indian Head Road. , according to the report.

The report indicates that both Agarwal and his vehicle matched the descriptions given to police by prior victims. Police then approached Agarwal and placed him in custody, the report states.

In total, police have identified seven separate incidents and nine victims in which Agarwal will be charged. They are continuing to investigate whether any other incidents may have occurred.

Agarwal is currently awaiting a preliminary hearing before District Judge Cathleen Kelly Reber on one count of indecent exposure (M1), eight counts of indecent exposure (M2), and nine counts of open lewdness (M3). The misdemeanor of the first degree was due to the victim being under the age of 16.
