Deer Rescue Interrupts Annual Lower Southampton Turkey Bowl: Video
The Lower Southampton Township Fire Department was playing its Turkey Bowl Thursday against Feasterville when it helped a Doe in distress.

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —It wasn't the typical Turkey Bowl Thursday for the Lower Southampton Fire Department.
A deer rescue got tossed into the middle of the game.
As the fire department played the Feasterville Fire Company in their annual Turkey Bowl football game Thursday, they were notified of a deer stuck in a fence. Members left the game and R6 responded to assist the officer with getting the uninjured doe free. WATCH THE RESCUE.

"Great team effort to free the deer and set her free and no damage to the fences," the fire department posted on its Facebook page. "Now this is another form of community service that we provide."
Speaking of great team effort, the fire department returned to the game and brought the Turkey Lombardi trophy back to the station with a 7-5 win.
