1. What are the top issues currently facing your position and how do you plan to address them?

As you know, I was elected by the board to the vacant position. I am continuing to build my foundation with the district. However, as a board member and part of the educational committee, policy committee, and disciplinary committee, there are topics that I can’t comment on at this time. But I promise you that I will have the students and the families of the district's interest at the forefront when it comes time to vote on the issues presented.

2. Identify specific goals or ideas you have to enhance life in your position:

I want to focus on the overall security of our district. I want the staff faculty and students educated and trained so that we remain to be a safe school. The students' focus should be on their education and not have to worry about the unknown while they are in our classrooms.

3. What in your experience or background prepares you for election to office?

I am not only a parent of child in the district. But I believe my background in working in a higher education institution as a director of public safety and have spent 15 years in law enforcement. Gives me the knowledge to help in preparation and handling of how the district would handle such situations in addition prepare them and making sure our schools are safe. Security is my passion but also I believe our teachers are the best. Making sure they have the resources available to them to help with the overall ability to educate the young minds is essential and I hope that I can provide my voice to assure they are given the resources to help brighten the future of every child that walks through the school doors. Finally, I hope that we can do this with minimal impact to our wonderful community within the district.
