Neshaminy Gets $1M Grant To Expand Free Pre-K Program
The $1M grant will allow the district to expand its program, which offers free preschool to eligible families. Applications due Aug. 1.

Neshaminy School District is expanding its Pre-K Counts program during the 2018-2019 school year thanks to a $1.03 million state grant, the district announced this week. The grant is more than double the amount from last year and will allow the district to expand its program to 120 seats at no cost to taxpayers.

The program gives working families "who might not qualify for other programs, but who still struggle to meet the financial obligations of affording preschool education, a valuable opportunity," the district said in a statement.
