New Police Officer Joins Force In Lower Southampton Township

LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —The Lower Southampton Township Police Department has added a new officer to its ranks.

Police Officer Heather Carnivale had previously served with the Yardley and Penndel Borough police departments.

Carnivale is a graduate of Neshaminy High School, Arcadia University and the Montgomery County Police Academy.

"She looks forward to a long career with the LSPD," the police department said.

Yardley Police Chief Joseph Kelly III recently announced at the Borough Council's Oct. 11 meeting that Carnivale would be moving on to another department. That was the same meeting where the borough added its own new officer in Dakota B. Romberger, who was promoted from a part-time police officer. He joined the force in 2020.

Kelly remarked about Carnivale —who served as a part-time officer —at the meeting.

"We want to thank Heather for her dedicated and loyal service," Kelly said. "But she's going to be a full-time officer in another Bucks County police department.

Yardley Council President Caroline Thompson also thanked Carnivale for her service at the Yardley Borough Council meeting.
