Our Lady of Grace: First Day Photos

The Rev. Jim DeGrassa sent Patch a few photos of the first day festivities at Our Lady of Grace in Penndel. 
"We had such a great morning," he said. 
"As the students arrived (some brand new to Catholic School) they were surprisingly greeted by some familiar characters—all from their favorite kids books, television shows and movies. We had music from the DJ and prizes being flung out by our gigantic prize sling shot.
"Our 8th graders taught the school the newest line dances.
"Mrs. Lewis, the principal, read our school’s mission statement followed by [my] special school year blessing.
"Then our newest students ran through the banner into the front doors to begin the 2013/2014 exciting school year. Many parents remarked how this fun morning makes the first day back for their kids something to look forward to instead of dread.
"Summer’s end seems less painful when school opens with music, dancing, prizes, surprises and prayer," De Grassa said.
