PA CareerLink Offers New Resources For Bucks Job Seekers
The Trevose-based agency is providing job seekers and employers with more resources and a revised website to find job tools in one place.

TREVOSE, PA —PA CareerLink Bucks County is offering new resources to assist employers with filling jobs and job seekers with finding family-sustaining wages.
With job postings almost doubling in Bucks County since the beginning of the pandemic, even as the county sees a 20 percent increase in median wage, PA CareerLink® Bucks County is offering the resources and has upgraded its website as a one-stop visit for job seekers.
“Our latest stats are less dire than national employment trends but still of significant concern as we seek to support the employers who contribute so much to our economy and our communities here in Bucks County,” said Billie F. Barnes, executive director of the Bucks County Department of Workforce and Economic Development. “We want to be sure we’re providing easy-to-access and super-local resources, and we invite Bucks County residents to share them with the job seekers and employers they know.”

In addition, PA CareerLink Bucks County’s website has been refreshed. Now state and local resources are all in one place, including dedicated channels for job seekers, employers, and youth as well as apprenticeships.

- What is the Bucks County Reentry Coalition? – A comprehensive guide to the services offered and how re-entrants can benefit.
For job seekers, the website content includes how to get started, training opportunities, assessment services, veterans services, weekly hot jobs, on-the-job training, success stories, Career Wardrobe, GED classes, and job assistance.
Resources including interviewing and resume-writing tips are provided to support reentrants and those who may have gaps in their work history.
For employers, website content outlines candidate search, job assessment services, On-the-Job Training (OJT) for new hires, Incumbent Worker Training (IWT) for existing employees, latest WED Talk webinars, success stories, and weekly hot jobs postings.
In Bucks County, there were 1,174 job postings in January 2020 compared to 2,053 job postings in January 2023. The median wage was $34,400 annually in January 2020 and $41,600 annually in January 2023.
“If it’s your first time working with PA CareerLink Bucks County, or you haven’t worked with us in years, attend an in-person or virtual orientation or visit us at our new headquarters in Trevose, where we offer a Computer Resource Center and many other in-person services including wardrobe assistance," said Bob Harvie, chairman of the Bucks County Board of Commissioners. "Bucks County boasts job opportunities at all levels and in a wide variety of fields and industries, and we offer a full range of services for the county’s workforce all under one roof.”
PA CareerLink Bucks County in Trevose operates Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The new office opened at Bucks County Technology Park, 4800 E. Street Road, Suite 50, in September.

Services include:
- A newly renovated computer lab with more than a dozen computer stations for job seekers
- Modernized workshop spaces and meeting rooms for employers to connect with job seekers
- An out-of-school youth center for individuals ages 16 to 24 who are disconnected from education and need assistance with attaining their GED and career services
- Childcare at a neighboring on-campus facility that accepts drop-ins
