Thanksgiving, Food Drives Underway In Lower-Upper Southampton Twp.
A Thanksgiving Basket Drive is taking place in Lower Southampton through Sunday with a food drive next Saturday in Upper Southampton Twp.
UPPER / LOWER SOUTHAMPTON TOWNSHIP, PA —Food drives are underway in both townships to help feed the needy this holiday season.
The Lower Southampton Fire Department has its Thanksgiving Basket Drive running through Sunday, seeking donations of non-perishable food items to help military families in need of assistance during the upcoming holidays.
The fire department said that donations can be dropped in the box by the side door of the Lower Southampton Fire Department at 466 Elmwood Ave., Trevose, for expanded hours this week from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Residents can also stop by Thursday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Those who prefer to make cash or grocery gift card donations, for security purposes, should place those items in an envelope marked USO and deposit them in the fire department's mailbox out front. Questions can be directed to events@ls6fd.com.
Meanwhile, the Upper Southampton Township and the Upper Southampton Township Police Department are holding their annual food drive at the GIANT food store on 466 Second Street Pike in Southampton on Saturday, Nov. 18, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The township will be collecting non-perishable food items and other donations to benefit the Jesus Focus Ministry Food Pantry.
Anyone unable to participate can drop off donations Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Upper Southampton Township Administration Building or Police Department at 939 Street Rd.
