BUCKS COUNTY, PA —There was a familiar face manning the fry station at McDonald's on Street Road in Feasterville-Trevose on Sunday afternoon, a man who poked his head out of the drive-through window and served customers.

Former President Donald Trump made a staged campaign stop at the McDonald's at 334 E. Street Rd., which was closed for a few hours on Sunday afternoon to allow the Republican presidential candidate to show that he too could work at a McDonald's like Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris said she did during the 1980s.

In photos supplied by the Trump-Vance campaign, Trump is shown taking a shift at the McDonald's, waving from the drive-through window, putting on an apron, operating the fryer, and serving some customers.

"I love salt, oh I spilled some, I'm superstitious," said Trump, who threw salt over his shoulder during a clip featured on "CNN This Morning" on Monday. CNN said that Trump handed out food to customers pre-screened by the Secret Service during the staged campaign stop. Click here to watch video of Trump at fry station.

"I'm going to get you some French fries," Action News 6 reported Trump telling one customer. "I love McDonald's. I love jobs."

A McDonald's employee showed Trump how to dunk baskets of fries in oil, salt the fries, and put them into boxes using a scoop. Trump also served bags of takeout to people in the drive-thru lane, Action News said.

The restaurant was closed for a few hours specifically for the former president's visit and the franchise posted a flyer on its window stating so.

Street Road was quite the scene on Sunday as Trump supporters lined up along the route, cars blared horns and authorities closed off the highway and diverted traffic.

It was Trump's second stop in Bucks County this campaign season.

Trump's appearance at the fast-food chain was another swing through the key battleground state with two weeks left before the Nov. 5 general election.

Trump, whose deep affection for the Golden Arches and its offerings is well documented, has meanwhile grown fixated on Harris’ employment there, CNN reported.

In interviews and on the campaign trail, he has regularly accused Harris without evidence of making up the job, CNN said.

“I’m looking for a job,” Trump said to the owner of the McDonald’s in Feasterville-Trevose on Sunday, CNN said. “And I’ve always wanted to work at McDonald’s, but I never did."

The Feasterville Fire Company hosted former President Donald Trump with the Secret Service and Homeland Security at the McDonald's at 334 E. Street Rd. on Sunday afternoon.

Fire officials thanked the Lower Southampton Township Fire Department, Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad, Bensalem Volunteer Fire Department, Southampton Fire Department, and the Warminster Fire Department along with Bucks County Hazmat and all mutual police.

"With all your help, we made this event go smoothly without a hitch," the fire company said.

Bucks County Democrats were also on the scene to show support for Harris.
