BUCKS COUNTY, PA —The McDonald's that hosted former President Donald Trump's visit Sunday as a fry guy has had its comments disabled by Yelp after numerous negative reviews over his appearance.

The Republican presidential candidate made a staged campaign stop at the McDonald's at 334 E. Street Rd. in Feasterville-Trevose, which was closed for a few hours on Sunday afternoon to allow Trump to show that he too could work at a McDonald's like Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris said she did during the 1980s.

But that visit apparently didn't sit too well with reviewers, forcing Yelp —a platform for reviewers —to temporarily freeze the franchise’s Yelp page.

"This business is being monitored by Yelp's Support team for content related to media reports," Yelp posted on the page.

NBC10 Philadelphia said Yelp made the decision after comments describing Trump's criminal convictions, demeanor, and customer service skills with mostly one-star reviews.

More than 145 reviews had been posted before Yelp paused commenting using its "unusual activity alert" Tuesday, NBC10 reported. NBC10 said many comments were in jest or vulgar while others criticized the franchise owner for having Trump there.

"This business recently received increased public attention, which often means people come to this page to post their views on the news," Yelp said on the McDonald's page. "While we don’t take a stand one way or the other when it comes to this incident, we’ve temporarily disabled the posting of content to this page as we work to investigate whether the content you see here reflects actual consumer experiences rather than the recent events. Please note that we apply this same policy regardless of the business and regardless of the topic at issue. Read more on Yelp Support. If you’re here to leave a review based on a first-hand experience with the business, please check back at a later date."

In photos supplied by the Trump-Vance campaign, Trump is shown taking a shift at the McDonald's, waving from the drive-through window, putting on an apron, operating the fryer, and serving some customers.

Street Road was quite the scene on Sunday as Trump supporters lined up along the route, cars blared horns and authorities closed off the highway and diverted traffic.

It was Trump's second stop in Bucks County this campaign season.

Trump's appearance at the fast-food chain was another swing through the key battleground state with two weeks left before the Nov. 5 general election.
