Crabfries For $1 Today At Malvern's Chickie's & Pete's Restaurant

The proceeds from the event will go to the Fraternal Order of Police Survivors Fund.

MALVERN - Chickie’s & Pete’s is celebrating National French Fry Day today at its new Malvern location selling Crabfries® for $1 donating the proceeds to the Fraternal Order of Police Survivors Fund.

The restaurant’s 8th Annual Crabfries for Heroes event which benefits families of fallen police officers.

"It’s an honor to be able to give back to such a great organization."“ said Pete Ciarrocchi, Chickie’s & Pete’s CEO and chairman.

To date, Chickie’s & Pete’s has donated over $125,000 to the FOP Survivors Fund thanks to the monumental success of their event and the amazing support of the community.

The fundraiser has been postponed the last two years due to the pandemic.

Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5 President John McNesby thanked the restaurant and Ciarrocchi for supporting the nonprofit organization.

“While the last few years have been difficult for everyone, we have continued to go to Pete and Chickie’s & Pete’s for help when needed and we have never been turned away, in fact we are always embraced,” McNesby said.

All major Chickie's and Pete's locations in the Philadelphia region are participating, including Audubon, Bordentown, Drexel Hill, Egg Harbor, Glassboro, Marlton, Parx Casino, Roosevelt Blvd., South Philadelphia, Robbins Ave and Warrington.

As a special thanks to the community, Chickie's and Pete's will also launch the Crabfries Express on Thursday, July 14th with the famous food truck visiting Philly landmarks with free Crabfries.
