Great Valley High School issued this statement Friday:

“Everett’s death is a tragedy that is being felt deeply by our school community. He is remembered fondly by many of our teachers and staff members, and his mother is a respected and loved member of our teaching staff.

“Our focus is on supporting the family and our staff members who are grieving this unexpected loss.

“Out of respect for the family’s wishes, we are limiting our public comment, but we extend our heartfelt condolences to the Beauregard family.”

After high school, Beauregard went to Temple University, graduating in 2020 with a bachelor’s of science in political science and government. He worked as an operations processor at Well Fargo, Philadelphia.

U.S. Rep. Kristine Howard, who represents eastern Chester County, said in a Facebook post that she worked with Beaureguard in 2020 when she was seeking reelection.

“A bright light in our community was dimmed this week in a tragic and senseless shooting in Philadelphia,” Howard wrote.

“Everett Beauregard, a Great Valley High School graduate and friend to many, was taken from us in yet another act of intolerable gun violence.

“In a small and closely knit community like ours, we are interconnected in many ways,” Howard wrote.

“Everett was on the track team at Great Valley with my son and daughter both of whom remember his kindness and good humor.

“Judging by the kind of young man Everett was, it was clear he came from a loving and nurturing family. My heart breaks for his mother and father and all who knew and loved him. May his memory continue to inspire us.”

Temple University issued this statement expressing sympathy to the victim’s family, friends and the entire Temple community.

“We are deeply saddened to learn of the tragic death of Temple graduate Everett Beauregard, who was killed last night in West Philadelphia. It is the latest example of the pointless and shocking epidemic of gun violence that continues to sweep both the city and the country.”
