The website looked at FBI crime statistics to create the list of the 100 safest places in Pennsylvania.
They gave each place examined a crime score, which was calculated by dividing the total number of violent crimes by the town population, then multiplying that by 1,000.

Malvern's crime score was 0.57, putting it at No. 97 on the list of Pennsylvania's safest towns with 3,000 to 10,000 residents.
According to ElitePersonalFinance, FBI data shows two violent crimes occurred in Malvern last year.
Nearby, Willistown Township was ranked No. 23 on the safest towns with 10,000 to 30,000 residents.
