Incumbent Kristin Howard wins a third, two-year term in the state House representing municipalities in Chester County,. unofficial results.
MALVERN, PA —State Rep. Kristine Howard, a Democrat, garnered 56.04 percent of the votes against Republican candidate Gail Newman for a state House seat representing District 167,
The district covers Malvern borough, and Charlestown, East Whiteland, West Pikeland, West Whiteland, West Vincent and East Caln townships.
A total of 29,228 votes were casted in the election.

Howard garnered 58.02 percent or 17,023 votes, according to Chester County Voter Services final tally released Wednesday afternoon.
Newman received 41.8 percent of the votes, or 12,272.

The district covers 73.7 square miles and has a population of 66,501.
The median age is 41 and the average income is $68,600 per capita, according to the U.S. census.
A single mother of seven, Howard is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania and Rutgers Law School, according to her biography on the state website.
She previously worked for the Chester County Department of Children and Youth Services investigating child abuse.
Newman is a Malvern Republican committee woman and a small business owner of a medical device business, according to her website.
