Malvern: Officer-Involved Fatal Shooting
Chester County detectives are investigating the fatal shooting of a Malvern man during a wellness check by police, officials said.
MALVERN —A Malvern resident was fatally shot today after a struggle with a borough police officer during a wellness check in the resident's home in the 800 block of the Charleston Greene townhouse development.
According to the Chester County District Attorney's office:

During the course of the investigation, the subject displayed a firearm, and a struggle ensued.
An officer-involved shooting occurred, and the subject was fatally shot.

Police determined this was an isolated incident, and there is no threat to the community.
Per the District Attorney’s protocol, Chester County detectives are investigating this incident.
