Malvern-Based Acme Is These States' Favorite Grocery Store

MALVERN, PA — Malvern's own Acme Markets is the favorite grocery store in two states, but not Pennsylvania.

A new report from 247wallst.com, "The Most Popular Grocery Store Chain in Every State," lists every state's favorite place to shop.

The website drummed up the list by finding the five grocery stores in each state with the highest number of favorable Yelp reviews and also used Google Trends to find which had the highest search volume between Jan. 21, 2021 and Jan. 20, 2022.

In Pennsylvania, Aldi took that honor.

But what about Acme?

Well, our neighbors to the east apparently love the Malvern-based chain.

247wallst.com reports New Jersey and Delaware prefer Acme.

Founded in 1891, Acme Markets has 161 locations in Connecticut, Delaware, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania

New Jersey has the lion's share of locations with 70. Delaware has 15. Its home state of Pennsylvania has 50 locations.
