Math Changing for GVSD's Youngest Students

Math is getting an upgrade in the Great Valley School District.

Kindergarten through fourth-grade students will see a new math strategy in the classroom this year. 

From the GVSD's website:

We are excited to share with you that after two years of study, the Great Valley School District will implement a revised math curriculum in Kindergarten through fifth grade during the 2013-2014 school year! While these revisions were prompted by the new Pennsylvania Common Core Standards, we are confident that our revised curriculum will provide students with a strong foundation in the basic skills, a deep understanding of number sense, and enhanced problem solving skills.
