New Year's Eve Wine Dinner At Alba In Malvern

MALVERN, PA —Looking for a special New Year’s Eve celebration?

Alba’s in Malvern is offering a Wine Dinner on Dec. 31 as a homage to the golden era of fine dining.

The restaurant offers a six-course tasting menu with wine pairings. Doors open at 6 p.m. and dinner begins at 6:30.

Here is the menu:

• Amuse Bouche: Island Creek Oyster, Sturgeon Cavier, with Tristan Hyste Bord de Marne Brute Champagne, France
• Antipasto Di Pesce: Wood Grilled Langostino, Chili and Lemon, and Shrimp Butter with 2021 Malvira Trinita Roero Arneis Piemonte Italy
• Antipasto Di Pesce: Pork Tonnato of Porchetta with Tuna and Caper Aioli, 2017 Le Piane Mimmo Alta Piemonte, Italy
• Pasta: Gnocchi Alla Romana, brown butter sage, parmigiano reggiano, 2015 Seitette Amarone, Veneto Italy.
• Secondi: Prime Rib of Grass Fed Beef, Hen of the Woods mushrooms, black truffle sauce, whipped potatoes with 2019 Lancaster Estate Wine Maker’s Cuvee Sonoma, California.
• Dolci: Orange Ricotta Fritters, Orange Curd Sauce, 2020 Château Sauternes, France.

A credit card is required to book and cancellations must be made by Dec. 23. The restaurant is owned by Sean and Kelly Weinberg. Sean grew up in his parents’ restaurant, Rose Tattoo Cafe, Philadelphia. Sean graduated from the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, N.Y. He completed a two-year apprenticeship in Northern Italy Il Cibreo of Florence and Al Covo of Venice. He was executive chef of Rose Tattoo Cafe for five years.

Kelly grew up in Kennett Square. Kelly worked in restaurants in Mexico and Colorado. She worked as a manager for five years at Rose Tattoo Cafe.
