$1.2M Water Main Replacement Work Underway In Marple

Aqua Pennsylvania said water main replacement work on South New Ardmore Avenue and Cornell Circle will be completed in July.

MARPLE TOWNSHIP, PA — Aqua Pennsylvania announced today that $4.4 million in infrastructure improvement projects are underway in Delaware County, including a more than $1 million project in Marple Township.

The utility company's work aims to improve service reliability across the region.

Crews in Marple Township are working on a $1.2 million project replacing 4,631 feet of aging 4-, 6-, and 8-inch water mains with new 6- and 8-inch ductile iron water mains.

Work is being done on South New Ardmore Avenue between West Chester Pike and Cornell Circle, and Cornell Circle between South New Ardmore Avenue and South New Ardmore Avenue

Aqua’s work is expected to be completed in July, weather permitting.

Final road restoration is expected to be completed by the fall.

New water mains will reduce the potential for main breaks and discolored water and improve water flow in the area.
