Pregnant Woman's Fatal Delco Shooting Lands Philly Woman In Prison

COLLINGDALE, PA — A Philadelphia was sentenced to prison time after being convicted of a pregnant woman's deadly shooting at a Delaware County Wawa.
Evelena Williams, 31, of Philadelphia, was sentenced to 10 to 20 years in the death of 32-year-old Latoya Davis, who was pregnant when she was killed.
Williams pleaded guilty to third-degree murder and third-degree murder of an unborn child Friday, court records show.

The shooting happened at about 7:20 p.m. Oct. 5, 2024 outside the Wawa on the 900 block of MacDade Boulevard in Collingdale.
Video footage, according to authorities, showed Davis running away when Williams shot her.

The Delaware County District Attorney's office said Williams stayed at the Wawa and told police she shot Davis with a .380 caliber firearm, then put the gun in her vehicle.
Police found the gun in Davis's vehicle and a shell casing in the parking lot.
