1 Arrested After Leading Cops On Chase Monday Morning: Marple Police

While one person was taken into custody, Marple Township Police said at least one other person evaded capture Monday morning.

MARPLE TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in Marple Township said they took one person into custody and are looking for at least one other person after a vehicle was stolen recently.

Officers were called to Sunset Boulevard early Monday morning for a report of a suspicious person and a possible stolen vehicle.

Police were given the description of the stolen vehicle and the vehicle the suspects used to arrive in the area.

Officers shortly thereafter found the two vehicles on West Chester Pike.

Both vehicles fled from police.

While one escaped, another crashed, police said.

The driver of the crashed vehicle was taken into custody after trying to run off, according to authorities.

Police said there is no threat to the public after the incident.
