1 Rescued From Apartment Building Fire In Delaware County

One person was rescued from the burning apartment building by local police, according to officials. Three others were displaced by the fire.

BROOKHAVEN, PA — A person was saved from a burning apartment complex in Delaware County early Wednesday morning.

First responders were called to the Summit Condominiums on the 7000 Block of Hilltop Drive in Brookhaven for a report of a multi-residential fire with entrapment at about 2:41 a.m., according to the Aston Township Fire Department.

Brookhaven Police showed up and confirmed one person was trapped in the building.

Officers went into the burning building and rescued the entrapped person, who was taken by EMS to a hospital for unknown injuries, the fire department said.

Firefighters showed up and searched the apartment building and began battling the blaze.

NBC10 reports 18 units were evacuated, and three people were displaced due to the fire.
