Marple Newtown's Firecracker 5K 2012 Race Results

BROOMALL–Despite the heat, more than 400 runners came out to the Marple Newtown Firecracker 5K on July 4th. The . 

The race brought out runners of all ages. Read below to find out who placed in the top three for each category.

Top 3 Overall (And Top 3 Males)

1. James Belfatto, 16, won the 3.1-mile race with a time of 16:54.
2. Aaron Skolnik, 29, finished with a time of 17:03. 
3. Ed Yost, 44, finished with a time of 17:33.

Top 3 Females

1. Katie McShay, 22, tied for first among the female runners with a time of 18:53.
2. Katie Filemyr, 21, tied for first with a time of 18:53.
3. Julianne Viscardo, 34, came in second with a time of 19:06.

Top 3 Females Ages 1-14

1. Hannah Evans, 13, came in first with a race time of 24:26.
2. Hannah Wellman, 13, came in second with a race time of 25:24.
3. Sydney Corcoran, 11, came in third with a time of 25:36.

Top 3 Males Ages 1-14

1. Daniel Malloy, 12, came in first with a race time of 21:36.
2. Caleb Vandeusen, 14, came in second with a race time of 22:00.
3. Hunter Miller, 14, came in third with a race time of 22:03.

Top 3 Females Ages 15-19

1. Corinne Huston, 15, came in first with a race time of 23:47.
2. Hope Ryan, 15, came in second with a race time of 24:10.
3. Colleen Holmes, 19, came in third with a race time of 27:45.

1. Bily McDevitt, 15, came in first with a race time of 17:49.
2. Tom Seykoa, 17, came in second with a race time of 18:16.
3. William Montgomery, 16, came in third with a race time of 20:25.
