New Recycling Collection System Coming To Newtown In 2025
Whitetail Disposal will be collecting residential recycling every other Wednesday and will follow a two-zone map. See details here.

NEWTOWN TOWNSHIP, PA — Newtown Township's recycling will be collected by a new contractor in 2025. Whitetail Disposal is the township's new residential recycling vendor for 2025.
In 2025, residential single-stream recycling collections occur from each home every other Wednesday. The schedule will follow a two-zone map, dividing the township in half using Newtown Street Road and West Chester Pike to create Zone No. 1 and Zone No. 2.

"Please be patient the first few collection cycles as they become comfortable with the route," the township said. "Understand that they will use the best logistical route for them, and this may be different than that which was used previously."
Due to New Year’s Day falling on the first Wednesday of the new year, recycling will begin with collections for Zone 2 on Thursday. Zone 1 will be collected Jan. 8.
In the event of a missed pick-up, contact customer service at Whitetail Disposal online here and customer service email, newtown@whitetaildisposal.com. When calling Whitetail's customer service number, 610-936-9967, be sure to identify that you are from Newtown Township in Delaware County.
Please use the tan and blue carts provided to each home by Newtown Township to put your recyclables in. Additional materials can be placed immediately next to these carts.
All recyclables need to be clean and dry and placed loosely in the carts.
No plastic bags can be used for recyclables – using plastic bags or trash bags renders the recycling contaminated and can cause the collected material to be thrown out.
ACME, Giant, Wawa and other stores provide bins for plastic bag recycling.
