Newtown Mosquitoes Test Positive For West Nile Virus
Pennsylvania's West Nile Virus Control Program recently announced mosquitoes in Newtown Township tested positive for the West Nile Virus on Aug. 6.
NEWTOWN SQUARE–State officials reported on Monday that 72 mosquitoes and two avian samples tested positive for West Nile Virus as of Monday, Aug. 6.
Newtown Township was included on the list for mosquitoes testing postive for West Nile.
Other Delaware County towns included on Monday's list are Aston and Radnor townships. and had previously tested positive for the virus.

The Department of Environmental Protection and County West Nile Virus staff are responding with additional surveillance and control as needed in these areas.
