Newtown Square Fire Co Hiring Firefighters/EMTs

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — The Newtown Square Fire Company is now accepting résumés for the position of part-time firefighter/EMT.

Pay for this position is $20.25 per hour.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or GED Equivalency and a current Pennsylvania driver’s license/CDL preferred.

Additionally, they must have the following minimum level of training:

• Pennsylvania Firefighter I and Firefighter II certificates or other training facility that meets or exceeds PA standards
• current Pennsylvania state certification as an Emergency Medical Technician, or National Registered Emergency Medical Technician
• Current ARC or AHA Basic Life Support Level III Health Care Provider CPR card
• Pump Operations 1 and Pumps Operation 2 certificates
• Hazardous-Material Operations Level Certification
• Emergency Vehicle Operations Certification
• Basic Vehicle Rescue Technician/or Rescue Technician—Vehicle Level I
• Aerial Operations Course (to be obtained within one year of employment)

Applicants will be subject to a Pennsylvania State Police Criminal History Check, Child Abuse Clearance from the Department of Human Services, and an FBI Criminal History Check which includes fingerprinting.

And, applicants must pass a fire company physical.
