Delco Man Wanted For Child Sex Assault In New Jersey: Police

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — A Delaware County man is wanted for sexually assaulting a child he met online, New Jersey authorities said Tuesday.

Shane Hennesy, 22, of Newtown Square, was charged Feb. 20 with multiple counts of sexual assault, which authorities say he committed against a 12-year-old girl in Pine Hill between December and January, according to the Camden County Prosecutor's Office.

Hennesy is also frequently in Ocean City, Maryland, and Newark, Delaware.

Authorities described Hennesy as a white male with long, shaggy brown hair and brown eyes. He is about 6 feet, 1 inch tall and weighs about 200 pounds.

He may have lost weight recently, officials said. The prosecutor's office provided a government-issued photo of Hennesy and two photos in which he appears more slender.

Hennesy was charged with aggravated sexual assault (first-degree), sexual assault (second-degree) and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child (third-degree).

The U.S. Marshals Service's regional fugitive task force is offering up to $1,000 for information leading to Hennesy's arrest. Anyone with information on his location can contact Sr. Det.
