Pints In The Square Craft Brew Fest And 5K: What To Know

NEWTOWN SQUARE, PA — Get your racing legs and your beer drinking hands ready, because the 4th Annual Pints in the Square Craft Brew Fest and 5K in Newtown Square is all set for Saturday, Sept. 21.

The annual event will kick off at 11 a.m. at the Ellis Preserve in Newtown Square and feature the 5K run, more than 50 beers from local and regional craft brewers, music, food, and much more.

At 11 a.m., the 5K run will step off at the preserve and follow two, flat loops through the preserve.

An awards ceremony for runners will be held at 11:45 a.m. following the 5K, which will be chip-timed by Run the Day.

Those who sign up by Sept. 9 are guaranteed a T-shirt. Race packet pickup is set for 5 p.m. o 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 17 at The Running Place in Newtown Square.

The 5K is open to all ages. Runners over 21 years old can purchase combo tickets for the brew fest or for designated drivers.

Then from noon to 4 p.m., the brew fest starts in the Sunoco parking lot on the BPG property. Signs will be posted and fire police will be directing traffic.

More than 50 local and regional craft beers will be available for sampling.

Those with Beer Fest and Beer Fest-5K combo tickets will receive a tasting glass and unlimited beer tastings.

The fest will be highlighted by live music and food vendors, too.

A limited number of Designated Driver tickets are also available, which include complimentary water and Victory craft root beer.

Rollerblades, bicycles, weapons or pets are not permitted on site. Alcohol is not permitted outside the fenced brew fest area.

All proceeds will benefit the Newtown Square Fire Company.

The event will be held rain or shine. In the event of severe weather or other uncontrollable circumstances that force a cancellation, there will be no refunds or exchanges.

Tickets range from $10 to $65. See ticket options here. Attendees must print their tickets to bring to the event.

Those looking to sample beer must show ID upon entry.

All traffic must enter the Ellis Preserve from the Uno Pizzeria/ SAP entrance on West Chester Pike. The address for Ellis Preserve is 3805 West Chester Pike Newtown Square, PA.

There will be signs and fire police directing traffic into the parking area. Event traffic through the Ellis Preserve will not be permitted during the event.
