3 Hospitalized After Police Chase In Delaware County
Pennsylvania State Police were led on a chase on Interstate 95 south in Delaware County early Thursday morning before stopping the vehicle.
DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Three people were taken to a hospital after leading Pennsylvania State Police on a chase early Thursday morning in Delaware County, authorities said.
According to state police, the incident began at about 1:15 a.m. on Intestate 95 south near mile marker 9 in Tinicum Township.
Troopers stopped a vehicle at that time and location, but when they approached the vehicle, it sped off.

Police chased the vehicle, and used a precision immobilization technique to disable the vehicle about two miles into the chase, authorities said.
The driver ran off, but was taken into custody by Ridley Township Police, according to authorities.

Police said a gun was found in the vehicle, which was towed from the scene and will be searched pending a search warrant.
The driver and two passengers were taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
Charges are pending.
