A man purporting to be the victim said on social media he did not know Taylor, had never seen him before, and was unsure why he was attacked.
Authorities were able to identify Taylor and his address through his license plate.
Police later took Taylor into custody at his home, where they also found the same baseball bat used in the incident, according to authorities.
Taylor is free after posting 10 percent of $50,000 bail and is scheduled for a July 21 preliminary hearing.
