Cops Shoot Man Who Fired At Them In Delaware County: DA
Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer said a man who shot at police in Chester was hurt by returning gunfire Wednesday night.
CHESTER, PA — Delaware County authorities are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred Wednesday night in Chester.
According to Delaware County District Attorney Jack Stollsteimer, the shooting happened at about 11:30 p.m. on the 100 block of West 21st Street in the City of Chester.
The officers who were involved were shot at, Stollsteimer said, and they returned fire.

No officers were hurt in the incident.
However, the man who shot at the officers was injured by police gunfire and is being treated at a local hospital.

Stollsteimer said he will be charged.
Detectives from the Special Investigations Unit of the District Attorney’s Office are conducting an independent investigation pursuant to the DA's office's policies.
