A potential security issue arose with a person who was entering the Fronfield building, but County Park Police resolved the situation.

MEDIA, PA — The Delaware County Courthouse was evacuated Wednesday, according to authorities.

Delaware County Park Police told Patch the courthouse was evacuated Wednesday, but at about 12:55 p.m. that people had been let back into the facility.

According to a county official, the Fronfield building was briefly evacuated due to a potential security issue with a person who was entering the building.

"Park Police followed proper protocol and were able to quickly resolve the situation and the building was reopened," the official told Patch.
