- Girl Talk: Girls Night Out at Middletown Library at 6:30 p.m. on Aug. 27. Jana from Jana's Hair Studio will trim bangs and paint fingernails for girls ages 10 and up for free. Have some girl talk and discuss your summer and get a free beauty product to take home. Registration required.
- Back to School: Penncrest High School 9th Grade Orientation/Tech Information Night at 7 p.m. on Aug. 27

- Weather: The forecast calls for temperatures to reach the high 80s with partly cloudy skies. Things are expected to cool down in the evening with thunderstorms expected late in the evening.Â
- History: Per the History Channel, on this day in 2007, Michael Vick pleads guilty in dogfighting case.Â
