Shocking Details Of Deadly Easter Crash In Delco Revealed
Authorities said the two people involved in the deadly Chadds Ford Township crash on April 20 were found with gunshots to their heads.
CHADDS FORD TOWNSHIP, PA — The teenage girl who died after an Easter Sunday crash in Delaware County was shot in the head, an autopsy revealed. The 19-year-old driver was also shot in his head, investigators said.
Pennsylvania State Police Tuesday released new information about the fatal incident that occurred at about 3:37 a.m. April 20 at the intersection of Baltimore Pike and Wilmington Westchester Pike in Chadds Ford Township.
An investigation into the crash revealed the BMW, driven by a 19-year-old Media man, was speeding and blew past numerous red-light intersections as it traveled southbound on Baltimore Pike, police said.

Eventually, the vehicle crossed into the northbound lanes of Baltimore Pike, left the road, and struck a telephone pole, police said.
An autopsy of the passenger, a 17-year-old girl from Brookhaven, determined she suffered a single gunshot wound to her head, according to Pennsylvania State Police. Additionally, the driver also suffered a gunshot to the head, police said. He is not expected to survive.

Two guns and two fired cartridge casings were found in the BMW, authorities said.
Police are still investigating the incident.
