Painter Rd. Closure, Sciencetellers Friday in Media

Here are a few things you need to know to jump start your day. If we missed anything, let us know in the comments below. 

• Road Closure: Painter Road will be closed for the day, beginning at 9 a.m., between Barren Road and Vineyard Lane, on Aug. 2. Tyler Arboretum will remain open but drivers to summer camp should plan accordingly for pick up and drop off. Local residents will still be able to access Painter Road between Forge Road and Vineyard Road and between Barren Road and Carriage Lane. 
• Fun: Sciencetellers at 11 a.m. the Media Community Center. Learn by telling a story and using experiments with fire, gas, air pressure, water, chemicals, and much more. Registration is not required. For ages 5-12. 
• Recycle: Area 1 Recycling Collection days in Middletown Township on July 31, Aug. 1 and 2
• Traffic: Check on your commute on the PennDOT traffic cameras before you leave the house. But the traffic will likely be terrible—it's traffic.
• Weather: The forecast calls for temperatures to reach the mid-80s with sunny skies. Things are expected to cool down to the high 60s in the evening. 
• History: Per the History Channel, on this day in 1990, Iraq invaded Kuwait.
