📰 News we're reading
• Merry Christmas Fund up 54% from a year ago (delcotimes.com) — Several Media residents were among more than 100 donors who helped the Salvation Army Chester Corps’ Merry Christmas Fund jump 54% over last year, reaching just over $26,000. Contributions, including online gifts and ShopRite cards, funded food baskets, toys, and expanded Code Blue emergency shelter beds for local families in need across Delaware County.

• Morning Regional Rail express trains to return this week (metrophiladelphia.com) — Commuters using the Media/Wawa Regional Rail line will see morning express trains return this week as SEPTA restores 24 express runs systemwide after months of delays and crowded local-only service. With more railcars back from federal-mandated inspections, riders are promised longer trains, fewer cancellations, and some trips that now bypass certain stations, so checking updated schedules is important.
