📰 News we're reading
• 'Mare Of Easttown' Second Season Teased By Star (patch.com) — Film crews have already used the Delaware County Courthouse in Media as a key location, and a possible second season of “Mare of Easttown” could bring even more production activity to the area. State officials say similar HBO projects inject millions into Pennsylvania’s economy and support thousands of jobs, so locals may see more cameras — and spending — around Media if the show returns.

• Merry Christmas Fund up 54% from a year ago (delcotimes.com) — Several Media residents and organizations are highlighted among 103 donors who helped the Salvation Army Chester Corps’ Merry Christmas Fund jump 54% over last year, supporting local families with food, toys, and expanded Code Blue shelter beds. The fund, which raised just over $26,000, also benefited from new online giving options and a large gift-card donation that directly aided struggling households.

• Morning Express Regional Rail Trips Resuming Monday: SEPTA (patch.com) — If you ride SEPTA’s Media/Wawa Regional Rail line, morning express trains are set to resume Monday after months of all-local service during safety inspections. SEPTA has repaired most of its aging Silverliner IV cars, so some trains that recently stopped at your station may again bypass it—check updated timetables before commuting.
