• Millions from state gambling funds pot flooding Delaware County for local projects (delcotimes.com) — Media is receiving $141,000 for a pedestrian safety initiative and $375,000 to replace an ambulance, part of more than $14 million in state gambling funds awarded across Delaware County. Other nearby towns are also getting money for sewers, police gear, accessibility upgrades, and flood monitoring that could indirectly affect Media residents.
   

• Hospitals welcome first babies of 2026 across the Philadelphia region (6abc.com) — A Media couple, Kim and Jason Sarnoff, rang in 2026 by welcoming their son Elliott Jude at 12:22 a.m. on New Year’s Day at Lankenau Medical Center. Their baby was among the first born across the Philadelphia region, with relatives flying in from overseas and hospital staff sharing in the holiday joy.
   

• $5,000 reward again offered in I-95 shooting incident (delcotimes.com) — State police are again offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the capture of Jamade McMillian, wanted in a 2023 I-95 shooting, with tips directed to the Media station. Residents in and around Media and Delaware County are urged to report any information that could help locate the suspect.
