• Pennsylvania State Police reports: Crews rescue crash victim in pond; threats at holiday shop (delcotimes.com) — State police from the Media barracks have released a rundown of recent incidents on I-95, I-476, and nearby townships, including a dramatic rescue of a driver trapped in a ponded SUV. The report also details DUI arrests, a police vehicle struck during a crash response, retail theft at Granite Run, sewer vandalism in Middletown, and threats at a Concord Halloween shop.
   

• PA Resources Council Now Accepting Entries For 2026 Lens On Litter Photo Contest (blogspot.com) — Media residents can take part in the statewide 2026 Gene Capaldi Lens on Litter photo contest, with entries mailed or emailed to the Pennsylvania Resources Council’s East Office on North Providence Road in Media. The contest, open through October 31, offers cash prizes for adults and students who capture powerful images of litter’s impact, including a new Before & After cleanup category.
