Pedestrian Killed In Rainy Delco Crash Last Week
Jose Pelico Gonon died after being struck by a vehicle while trying to cross West Baltimore Pike on a dark and rainy night, police said.
MEDIA, PA β Pennsylvania State Police said a 35-year-old man died after being struck by a vehicle last week in Delaware County.
Killed was Jose Pelico Gonon, 35, Media.
According to state police, Gonon was fatally struck at about 8:21 p.m. Wednesday on West Baltimore Pike near the Citizens Bank branch at 1055 W. Baltimore Pike in Media.

Gonon crossed the highway's northbound lane and stopped on the concrete median at about that time, police said.
He then began to cross the southbound lanes.

A 2016 Acura RDX driven by a Havertown man was heading south on West Baltimore Pike when it struck Gonon, police said.
Gonon was thrown about 50 feet by the impact, according to authorities.
Rocky Run Fire Company EMS crews took Gonon to Crozer-Chester Medical Center, where he died, police said.
Charges have not been filed against the driver.
Police noted conditions that night were rainy and dark, and that the area was not illuminated by any street lights.
