Well-Known, Local Musician Dies, and Other Obituaries

Frank Murphy, of Glen Mills and formerly of Media and Reading, died at 87. Murphy was a well-known musician and singer who appeared on American Band Stand and was a member of the band on the Al Alberts Show.

Jennie DeSimone, of Riddle Village in Middletown Township, died at 96.


Fred Sabatino, of Paoli and formerly of Overbrook and Newtown Square, died at 75. Sabatino retired as a Code Enforcement Officer in Newtown Township and he worked for the Newtown Township Republican Party.



Ruth Elaine Lee, of Brookhaven, died at 97.

Salvatore C. Piraino, "Sam," of Milmont Park and formerly of Swarthmore Wood, died at 70.
