• Minersville Man Charged After Alleged Retail Theft at St. Clair Walmart (skooknews.com) — A 19-year-old Minersville resident has been charged in connection with an alleged June retail theft at the Walmart in nearby St. Clair, based on store surveillance and an internal investigation. Police say the suspect allegedly hid a safe and other items, then left the store without paying; a preliminary hearing is set for January 27, 2026.

BOYS BASKETBALL: Minersville's experience too much for Williams Valley (republicanherald.com) — Minersville High’s boys basketball team rode its veteran lineup to a 67-58 road win over Williams Valley, powered by 21 points from Shazier Bethea and 17 each from Chase Zimerofsky and Jordan Bowers. The Battlin’ Miners pulled away with clutch three-pointers and free throws in a physical fourth quarter, improving to 7-1 under first-year coach Chris George.
