• Crews from 2 counties battle 3-alarm blaze in southern Berks (readingeagle.com) — Mohnton firefighters were among many crews called to a three-alarm fire that heavily damaged a former furniture store on Route 625 in nearby Brecknock Township late Monday night. Working in frigid conditions, departments from Berks and Lancaster counties spent nearly six hours bringing the blaze under control, closing a stretch of Route 625 until after daybreak but reporting no injuries.
