Detours Planned for Coraopolis Memorial Day Parade
The annual parade will feature community organizations and area school districts.

Festivities for the annual Coraopolis Memorial Day parade will kick off at 1 p.m. Monday along Fifth Avenue in the borough.Â
The parade, sponsored by Veterans of Foreign War Post 402, will feature bands from the Cornell and Moon Area School Districts.Â
, who are assisting with traffic control for the event, said in a statement Route 51 South will be closed at the Thorn Run Road intersection from 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the holiday.Â

During those hours, two-way traffic will run on Fourth Avenue. Police will also close the Moon Township Park-and-Ride lot on Route 51 for the day so it can be used as a staging area for the parade.
