Judge Sentences Coraopolis Man to Probation in Prison Abuse Case

Harry Nicoletti will serve a six months of probation on electronic monitoring.

A Coraopolis man found guilty of abusing inmates while working as a former SCI prison guard was sentenced to probation on Thursday.

According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Allegheny County Common Pleas Judge David R. Cashman ordered Harry Nicoletti, 61, to serve the first six months of his five-year probation on electronic monitoring.

In January, a jury found Nicoletti guilty on 27 counts, including one felony of criminal solicitation.

Nicoletti was found not guilty on 52 counts, including all 26 allegations of sexual abuse, the P-G reports.
