Man Charged with Impersonating Moon Police Officer
Kansas man attempted to enter an apartment by telling a resident that he was an officer, according to police report.

A Kansas man was arrested this weekend after police said he told residents that he was an undercover Moon Township Police officer.Â
 said Steven Paul Lockhart, 20, of Junction City, KS, on May 28 knocked on doors at the complex on Colony West Drive and told residents that he was a plainclothes police officer for the township.Â
Lockhart was charged with giving false identification to law enforcement, impersonating a public servant, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness.

One resident reported that Lockhart asked to enter his apartment to "investigate a noise disturbance."Â
The man told police that he was "very afraid of [Lockhart] and was preparing for a physical altercation if he entered his apartment," according to a police report.Â

Police said Lockhart was highly intoxicated when they located him.Â
Lockhart was taken to the Allegheny County Jail. The amount of the bond was not available. He is scheduled to appear tomorrow for a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge Mary Murray.
