Mansfield Bridge Reopens

All traffic control measures will be removed on the Mansfield Bridge, on Thursday, October 9,, beginning at 3:00 p.m.

The Allegheny County Department of Public Works today announced today that onThursday, October 9, 2014, beginning at 3:00 p.m., all traffic control measures will be removed on the Mansfield Bridge, which is located in McKeesport, Glassport and Dravosburg, opening the bridge to unrestricted traffic.

Over the next month, temporary lane closures may take place during 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. on weekdays to install the new handrail on the approaches to the bridge. The $34 million project is being done in conjunction with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration. The work is being performed by the Joseph B. Fay Company of Tarentum, PA.
